A: Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you're hoping for, and anything you'd like me to know. You’re always in control — we move at your pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

A: I currently offer in-person as well as teletherapy (secure video sessions) to adults located in North Carolina. All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform — all you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.

A: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy for healing from trauma, anxiety, or overwhelming experiences. It helps your brain and body process painful memories so they don’t feel as distressing or stuck. If you’re interested, we’ll explore if it’s a good fit for your needs and comfort.

A: Most clients begin with weekly sessions, especially early on. As therapy progresses, we may shift to biweekly or monthly depending on your goals. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that works for you.

A: Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Extended EMDR sessions are available upon request if clinically appropriate.

My usual fee is $165 for a 50-minute session. I'm working on joining Aetna and BCBS networks. If you're out-of-network, I can give you a superbill to submit for reimbursement. We'll talk about fees in our first session so you understand everything clearly.

A: That’s completely normal. Therapy can feel vulnerable at first — and I strive to create a space that is warm, welcoming, and judgment-free. You don’t have to know exactly what to say or what you want to work on. We’ll figure it out together, one step at a time.
